LOS ANGELES – Nov. 14, 2016 – While most people consider spring the prime home buying season, the market calm over the holidays is just one reason dedicated buyers can benefit from end-of-the-year home shopping:

  • Buyers have more time to shop, as time off from work and school is not uncommon with many buyers during November and December.
  • Tax benefits. Many buyers in the market for a new home feel as if they have to close escrow prior to the end of the year for tax planning reasons.
  • The holiday season is a great time to showcase the neighborhood. Many homes are decorated and look their absolute best. And a seller's home often has its most nostalgic emotional appeal during this time period.
  • Less competition. Many sellers pull their homes

The answer is yes and no... let me explain. Statistically, the affect is minor, with sales decreasing slightly during election years and home prices increasing just a little less during election years.

However, the reasons for these results are not believed to be economical, but social, and result from "consumer confidence".

The unknown of a presidential election year puts stress on the average home buyer, and they often hold out on such large expenditures until the economy and the unknowns, including who may be running the nation, are settled.

Adding to this consumer uncertainty is how close a race is, such as what we are seeing so far this year.

So, the affects of a presidential election have been minor enough historically, that it should not

ORLANDO, Fla. – July 21, 2016 – Florida's housing market reported higher median prices and fewer days to a contract in June, according to the latest housing data released by Florida Realtors®. Closed sales of single-family homes statewide totaled 27,086 last month – slightly higher (0.4%) than the June 2015 level of 26,973 closed sales.

"Florida's housing market is experiencing tight supply and pent-up demand," said 2016 Florida Realtors®President Matey H. Veissi, broker and co-owner of Veissi & Associates in Miami. "That's affecting the pace of sales and putting pressure on statewide median prices. Florida's economic growth, rising jobs outlook and acclaimed quality of life continue to draw new residents eager to call the Sunshine State home."

There is an article in The Palm Beach Post on Monday that talks about the "Draw of ecotourism growing in North County". Anyone who lives here will tell you that we "love where we live" because there is an un-limitless number of days available for "hiking, biking, boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, swimming, snorkeling, diving, etc etc etc..." mainly because the average year round temperature in Florida is 84 degrees. Yeah, we get those tropical rain storms that usually pass by in 15 minutes, but for the most part, what more could you ask for? Looking to make Florida your next home? We would love to help!! ‪#‎loveFlorida‬ ‪#‎livewhereyouvacation‬

A Wikipedia history lesson on: "The Easter Bunny (also called the Easter Rabbit or Easter Hare) is a folkloric figure and symbol of Easter, depicted as a rabbit bringing Easter eggs. Originating among German Lutherans, the "Easter Hare" originally played the role of a judge, evaluating whether children were good or disobedient in behaviour at the start of the season of Eastertide.[1] The Easter Bunny is sometimes depicted with clothes. In legend, the creature carries colored eggs in his basket, candy, and sometimes also toys to the homes of children, and as such shows similarities to Santa Claus or the Christkind, as they both bring gifts to children on the night before their respective holidays. The custom was first mentioned in Georg Franck von

This past Sunday we decided to play tourist and went on an Intracoastal Brunch Cruise.  The weather could not have been more beautiful and it appeared as if we weren't the only ones who thought the same thing.  Here you can see Marina Grande Condominiums in the background.  There were many boaters, wave runners, kayaks, paddle boarders and swimmers all out enjoying everything South Florida has to offer.  It's a beautiful thing to be out breathing the salt air, enjoying the sunshine and just relaxing in the cool breeze, remembering that not all humans on planet earth get to enjoy such wonder.  So breathe in, look up and believe this.....you too could experience this beauty just by calling us today.  Come enjoy South Florida, where our yearly average
