Jupiter Real Estate

Jupiter real estate includes oceanfront and beachfront homes, island condos, and unique luxury homes. In fact, Jupiter Island has some of the largest and most expensive condos in the country. Jupiter is also the starting point for the scenic Loxahatchee river canoe tour which starts in Jupiter and ends about six hours later in Jonathan Dickinson State. For people over 50, regular activities such as bridge, dances, and trips to casinos and concerts are planned.

This two race venue is the Grand Finally of a grueling racing season.  Race boats staging and testing on Thursday, October 18th, prepping for the first race on Friday.  With a day of rest and repair on Saturday, Carlin Park will be transformed into Race Village.  Live Bands, great food, kid’s area and lots of entertainment and of course the race teams mingling with the fans in the Dry Pits.  Boats from 24 to 50 feet in length will compete in Sunday’s race to determine the winners in seven different classes with speeds ranging from 70 to 170 mph.

Jupiter History

jupiter_lighthouse_376Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, often used as the town's symbol, was built in 1860 and is the most notable landmark of Jupiter. The Lighthouse is open to the public and tours are offered.

Jupiter's name has an interesting history. Originally called Hobe after the Indian tribe living in the Loxahatchee River, the name was gradually misinterested by mapmakers who changed the spelling to Jobe, then Jove, and finally Jupiter. Jupiter is the chief Roman god of light, the sky, and the weather.
